Device not detected
- Try a different USB port/cable (ensure data capability).
- Close other wallet apps that might occupy the USB interface.
- On Linux, install the required udev rules so the OS can access the device.
Ledger Live won’t open or sync
Restart the app and your computer. Check firewall/antivirus prompts. If syncing stalls, clear the cache in settings, switch networks temporarily, then resync.
Firmware update interrupted
Do not unplug unless instructed. Reopen Ledger Live; the device typically resumes or offers recovery steps. Ensure a stable cable and power source.
Forgot PIN
After too many failed attempts, the device wipes by design. Restore using the recovery phrase on the device. This is why offline backups are essential.
Lost or damaged device
Your funds live on the blockchain, controlled by your recovery phrase. Replace the device, restore on‑device, then re‑add accounts in Ledger Live.
Address mismatch warning
If the address on the device doesn’t match the computer, cancel immediately, update Ledger Live, scan for malware, and verify again.
